The Gorge - Hollowmen Alpha

During the production of The Gorge at Framestore, I was in charge of creating the model for the Hollowmen Alpha. It was a privilege to work on such a gem of a VFX character asset. It was both challenging and fun to design all the branches and the mutated skin on this character, finding a balance between a cool design and the technical side as well.

When I received the 3D concept, my task was to push it further in the 3D sculpt, presenting it to the client, and then turning it into a VFX asset ready for animation.

I also want to mention the great team of sculptors we had on this show. In particular, Ricardo Alves for the amazing face shapes, Lazar Isailovic and Michael Balthazart for their help in finishing the asset during the final building stage and Michitaka Inoue, Sabrina Suppa to create the vfx clothes for the final asset.
